In July 2024, thousands of music lovers will once again return to the Gremmin peninsula to celebrate the diversity of art and culture in the shadow of huge coal excavators on the edge of a lake.
We are delighted to be able to provide the perfect soundtrack for these days:
Because when Ferropolis transforms into a spectacular and varied dream world again from 11-13 July 2024, there will be numerous top-class live acts, including exclusive German shows by electronic artist James Blake, UK grime legend Skepta, the comeback of the Sugababes and the solo debut of Romy from The xx, which can only be experienced in Germany at MELT.
Those who are more into electronic music will also find numerous highlights: DJ Koze will return to Ferropolis for the first time in 7 years(!), Bonobo will play one of his rare DJ sets in Germany, and Honey Dijon will present her album Black Girl Magic for the first time. After last year's Strangelove takeover at the Beach Club, Job Jobse will claim the Big Wheel for himself, and KI/KI will present their new live set. There will also be a bang on the b2b front: Marcel Dettmann's carte noire will be none other than VTSS, while there will be a world premiere with the b2b of DJ Mell G and Helena Hauff. Techno, house and much more: MELT is and remains the home for electronic music in Germany!
As every year, there will also be new artists to discover at MELT 2024. From the spheric dream pop of Art School Girlfriend and the stubborn post-punk of Bar Italia, to the liquid D'n'B pop of Kenya Grace or the DIY pop of Slayyyter. Rave rap will be provided by TELESHOP, Obongjayar will showcase his many facets, the femme fatale COBRAH will cast a spell over you and Eartheater will present her albums Powders and Aftermath. Expect a great and unique mix of genres, which is probably the most contemporary and yet most accessible musical festival programme in the country!
As in previous years, several stages will once again be hosted by selected collectives and their friends: In addition to last year's highlights such as the Cologne collective around Malugi and Marlon Hoffstadt, Club Heart Broken, and Teenage Dreams by DJ Heartstring, there will also be three new takeovers with Sedef Adasi's Hammam Days & Nights, La Noche by Byron Yeates, DHC and THC, and Maricas, the party series by Eloisa Blitzer, Gina Guasch and ISAbella from Barcelona, which are representative of high-class curation and unmistakable sounds - and therefore ideally suited to MELT.
