Melt! Festivalīs Twin
Two are better than one! That’s probably what the Association of Independent Festivals (AIF) must have thought right before launching this wonderful initiative: „AIF Twin Festivals: A Cultural Exchange.“ Likeminded festivals from around the world are pairing up for this year’s festival season in order to promote cultural exchange. Melt! Festival is one of them, and proudly announces Bestival as its newly found twin from across the Channel.
In 2010, the seventh edition of the four-day-event is held at Robin Hill County Park on the beautiful Isle of Wight. Only a two-hour-drive away from London, Rob da Bank, DJ at BBC 1, fulfilled his vision of a modern and eclectic festival, staging performances that range from indie to electronic music, and hip-hop. This year’s line-up includes: Dizzee Rascal, Flaming Lips, Roxy Music, Hot Chip, LCD Soundsytem, Fever Ray, The xx, Echo & The Bunnymen, Simian Mobile Disco, Four Tet and many more.
